Don't be alarmed parents if you hear that Vikings have arrived at Ballytrea. It will just be P.3, 4 and 5 researching their new World Around Us topic, Raiders or Traders, all about the Vikings. Look out for some fabulous artwork related to this very interesting topic. Did you know that the Vikings sailed right into Lough Neagh? They came very close to this area, and Ballyclog was the site of a famous archaeological discovery; a bell from Viking times, which is now in the Ulster Museum.
