Foundation Stage have been doing lots of activities related to Fairytales. They listened to the story of Red Riding Hood and during play in the role-play corner they dressed up as Red Riding Hood and the wolf, they retold the story using puppets in the puppet theatre, at the playdoh table they made made buns for grandma, they also built a house for grandma using lego in the construction corner and at the art table they painted a forest scene for Red Riding Hood. During World Around Us they listened to the story of Hansel and Gretal and thought about how the light reflecting off the pebbles helped Hansel find his way back home. We then looked at different sources of light and sorted them according to whether they were 'natural' or 'man-made' sources of light.
