Outreach!

12th Nov 2025
We were delighted to welcome Breda and Bernie into school today, to talk to our children in KS1 and KS2 about the amazing work carried out by Mid Ulster Agewell

Mid Ulster Agewell is a partnership covering the Mid-Ulster District Council area, working together to provide a provision of ageing well services to older and vulnerable people within our community, allowing them to remain as independent as possible, for as long as possible, in their own home.

In the run up to Christmas we are delighted to team up with Agewell as part of our Community Outreach programme!

In school the children will be working together to craft greetings cards and gifts, that will then be delivered to older and vulnerable adults within our community.

Whilst this is a Mid-Ulster wide initiative, we will also be reaching out to our own school families in the weeks ahead, to see if we can connect with and offer friendship to other older, vulnerable or lonely adults within our own local school community.

Please keep your eyes peeled for further information on this initiative in the coming weeks.

At Ballytrea we really value the importance of playing an active role in our wider community, and know that the children are really enthused and looking forward to the friendships and learning that lies ahead.
