Hi, I’m Hannah Sterrett and I’m really pleased to be joining the Ballytrea Board of Governors.
I am a former pupil (though we won’t mention how long ago that was!), and now a mum of two little ones, who I hope will get the opportunity to wear the blue jumper with pride someday soon. Ballytrea has always meant a lot to me, both personally and as part of the wider community.
My connection to the school goes back even further as my father was a member of the governors for over 30 years, so it’s a real privilege to follow in his footsteps and to continue that legacy.
I’m passionate about supporting the school and making sure every child has the chance to thrive and enjoy their time here as much as I did. I’d love to see Ballytrea grow, not just in numbers but in all the ways that make it a brilliant place to learn and develop.
My hope is that during my time as governor, we can help make Ballytrea a school known for inclusivity that’s not only one of the best in the area, but one that families from further afield are drawn to- a place known for its caring atmosphere, high standards, and fantastic opportunities for every individual child.
