Food, Glorious Food!

This term in WAU our KS2 pupils are studying ‘Food, Glorious Food’.

They are very excited about this topic and the practical learning has begun.

Yesterday in class, the children baked a pear and blackberry crumble, inspired by the famous Seamus Heaney poem, ‘Blackberry Picking’. ?

All the blackberries were also picked from the hedgerows locally!

We all really enjoyed it, and scoffed the crumble served with ice cream.
