What a wonderful afternoon we had today as our school Outreach Club hosted a Daffodil Tea for members of our local community.
Following their recent work with Mid Ulster Agewell, the children in our Outreach Club wanted to do something special for the elderly within our community, and so decided to host an afternoon tea where people could come along and share in some friendship and sweet treats!
It was so special to see our young people chat with and enjoy the company of different members of our community and we hope that those who were able to come along today had as much fun as we did.
There was some poetry read, a table quiz hosted by Mrs Colvin, and an informative presentation by Brian, Agewell’s local handy man!
Learning to be good people is a big part of what we do at Ballytrea Primary School and we have no doubt that the children who hosted today’s Daffodil Tea will continue to grow and become caring, selfless members of our community.
