🌟 BALLYTREA TO BERMUDA CHALLENGE 🌟

25th Jun 2021

Yesterday marked the end of our Ballytrea to Bermuda Challenge. Over the last six weeks the girls and boys have embraced the challenge and shown an enthusiasm and willingness to take part, that has really blown us all away.

Lap after lap of our playground, kilometre after kilometre at home; the girls and boys have worked incredibly hard. All in an effort to get active, improve their wellbeing and to raise important funds towards the purchase of play equipment for our school.

I can not tell you how proud I and the other staff at our school are of our young children!

With a target of reaching 5,115km, I am delighted to tell you that at the final count the children have completed 6,988km!! 🤯

That’s a distance that is great enough to not only take us to Bermuda, but to take us to places like Florida, Dubai and even to the North Pole!!

If that wasn’t enough I am also delighted to tell you that the current total of our fundraising efforts is an unbelievable £2,753. Again, a figure that has totally blown us away.

Thank you so much to everyone who has given a donation towards our fundraising challenge. To the children, parents, grandparents and friends of our school, we are so grateful for the huge contribution you have made to the facilities at our school.

Thank you also to our Parents’ Support Group, Killymoon Bouncy Castles, Il Carro Della Pizza and Centra Dunman for their support on our celebration day.

A special mention to Susie Wilson who baked each class a fabulous well done cake! 🍰

We will leave our just giving page open for another couple of days in case anyone wishes to make a late donation. It can be accessed via the following link:

On behalf of all the children and staff at Ballytrea PS, could I please once again say a big thank you to all who have supported us throughout this challenge. It just goes to show what can be achieved when a community comes together!

Kind regards,
